Truted Sources

ADA.gov

The ADA was an act placed in 1990 about the discrimination against disabled. This site has information about the act. What's inside. To quote,"The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) prohibits discrimination and ensures equal opportunity for persons with disabilities in employment, State and local government services, public accommodations, commercial facilities, and transportation. It also mandates the establishment of TDD/telephone relay services." Which is basic, and accurate information.

This site I, personally, have visited many times. It's the site about my disability. I have found a lot about myself through this and trust it with information regarding the topic. To quote the front page, "OUR MISSION:To provide and encourage more understanding and mutual support among anyone affected with the diagnosis of arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC). To create a higher standard of AMC awareness by means of conferences, meetings, and studies. OUR VISION: To provide educational material to new parents, or soon-to-be parents regarding the diagnosis of arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC). To provide a resource of information to the medical field to include, but not limited to, occupational therapists, physical therapists to assist them in the treatment of a child or person with the diagnosis of AMC."

This site talks about disabled across the globe. It talks about meetings, International People with Disabilities Day and more! One of my personal topics is Disabled Athlete's. To quote, "The exclusion of athletes with disabilities who are treated differently is clearly discrimination, disabled athletes are excluded whether they have been doped or not, and punished more severely than theirable-bodied teammates." This site isn't afraid of adding slight opinion which I like.
